  • Riddle's Court is an A-listed former merchant's house, located in the heart of the Old Town, near Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile.
Built in 1590, it has considerable historic and cultural significance. It was the venue for a banquet to honour King James VI and his Queen in 1598, home to David Hume in 1751 and one of the first of Patrick Geddes' University Halls in the 1890s.

The building has been in serious decline for many years and is on Scotland's Buildings at Risk Register. Most but not all funds have been raised and now the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust is managing the restoration project.

If you are interested in the building please do not hesitate to get in touch.
